Well ...being in Cumbria sheep do appear in many selections of Artwork! Also the availability of wool from the well known local Herdwick sheep to a whole range of unusual sizes and colours of sheep.
The inspiration of this group of needlefelted sheep comes from various works of William Geldart using particularly Shetland, Herdwick and Merino wool to give depth and shape...and a local rock representing the dry stone walls throughout the Lake District fells.
The work is then framed in white washed wood (no glass) width 22cm x height 18cm x depth 3cm with one hook at the back, or can standalone.
