Needlefelted Jumping Ram (green)
Well ...being in Cumbria sheep do appear in many selections of Artwork! Also the availability of wool from the well known local Herdwick sheep to a whole range of unusual sizes and colours of sheep.
The inspiration of this group of handmade needlefelted sheep comes from various works of William Geldart using particularly Shetland, Herdwick and Merino wool to give depth and shape...and a pile of Wet Felted rocks representing the dry stone walls throughout the Lake District fells on a green background.
The work is then framed in natural wood (no glass) width 24.5 x height 24.5 x depth 3.5cmwith one hook at the back, or can standalone.
